Welcome to Maelon. These Terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Maelon product at app.maelon.co and any related websites and services we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By using Maelon you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Who can use Maelon
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Maelon. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for any activity under your account. Tell us right away at hello@maelon.co if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Your content
You own the tasks, notes, calendar events, and any other content you create in Maelon (your "Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and process your Content solely so we can run the Service for you — and only for that purpose.
You're responsible for what you put in your Content. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, anything illegal, or anything that violates someone else's rights.
Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following while using Maelon:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access the Service in unauthorized ways
- Use the Service to send spam, abuse, malware, or anything that breaks the law
- Try to disrupt the Service, evade rate limits, or test our security without permission
- Resell, sublicense, or re-host the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service to build a competing product (using your own data is fine; using our infrastructure is not)
Reasonable security research is welcome — please report findings to hello@maelon.co rather than publicly disclosing.
AI features
Maelon uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic Claude) to power features like Capture and the daily briefing. Output is generated and may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Use AI-generated output at your discretion — don't rely on it for consequential decisions without your own review.
Third-party integrations
If you connect Maelon to third-party services (e.g. Google Calendar), you authorize us to access your data on those services according to the permissions you grant. Those services have their own terms — using them through Maelon doesn't replace accepting theirs. You can disconnect at any time.
Pricing and billing
Maelon is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, paid features will be clearly marked and you'll only be charged after explicitly subscribing. Existing free features won't be paywalled retroactively without reasonable notice.
Termination
You can stop using Maelon and delete your account anytime — email hello@maelon.co and we'll process the deletion within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if we're required to by law. Where reasonable, we'll give you advance notice and a chance to export your data.
Disclaimers
Maelon is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or that the AI features will produce specific results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maelon and its operators won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) USD $50 or (b) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes to the Service or these Terms
We'll keep improving the product, which means features will come and go. When we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the effective date above and notify signed-in users by email or in-app notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Maelon's operating entity is registered. Any disputes that can't be resolved informally go through that jurisdiction's courts. Reach out to us first at hello@maelon.co — most problems are easier to fix than to litigate.
